This is one of my own- It's not quite a quote, but it was quite good.
Scene: A birthday party, a girl is about to cut a birthday cake..
Person: "Careful you don't cut yourself with that knife"
Me: "More importantly, don't cut me!"
"Does anyone want the chicken? Because I'm just eating the skin"- Joey in Friends
"Homicide- Our day begins when yours ends." - Detective John Munch |

I didn't put it up there with Pitt the Elder or Cicero or Shakespeare.
And yes I do think its witty. Maybe it was one of those, you had to be there kind of things. Its what everyone is thinking, but no one is saying. The brutal human honesty- I view my livelihood as more important than yours. Our PC culture has attempted to suck that human honesty out of ourselves.
And where is you timeless (non-plagarized) quote for the ages o wise one? |

i'd agree that the pc crowd and everybody being so sensitive has made true wit an unappreciated rarity. i find that people call things "witty" far too often these days. i demand at least a sprinkling of originality and cleverness. |

Steelrails, I can tell from your posts that you are an intelligent guy, but come on, that was pretty lame!! It reminds me of the cornball stuff readers submit to Reader's Digest! |

Nothing having to do with Cobain epitomizes the essense of rock. Rock 'n' Roll is about stick it to the man not stick it in your mouth and pull the trigger.
Beside, he always kinda looked like an escapee from the muppet show. |
