Hmm.. standing on the corner dancing away to passerbys wearing narly nothing.

How much do you think they get paid? Do you think they do some circuit, constantly touring to new grand opening events? Wink

Please tell me you haven't seen them out and about recently. They'd definitely be wanting more than 2 mil if that's the case.

They're dancing in the building across the street from my building. Some new german hof and restaurant.

Saw them a few weeks ago at the new Dunkin' Donuts. A month ago down the street. *sigh* must be cold.. but they're so damn energetic!!

I heard they only get paid by the hour. like 20.000 won an hour.
which is still good money for them!!
I mean a normal waitress in Itaewon which is a pretty well paying area.
gets less than 5000 an hour!! compare the work!!
a teacher in a hakwon she will be lucky to make 13.000 an hour.!
so 20.000 to dance in the street as NARRATOR as they are called.. is alright for these girls!! they dance about 5 hours.. so 100.000 a day not bad work!!!
of course do they get work everyday I dont think so...

I enjoy it when they dance and shake thier bods. It almost seems normal to me, and would now think any place that doesn't hire the dancing babes must be some cheap fart of a place and wonder that their deal is not to. Better in summer when the outfits are a little more season conscious.

One of the UBLove girls I met works as a "Doumie". She is a nice gal, although she only wants to learn English (sorry guys, no nookie for you there). Darn cute, too. We did language exchange for a while.

Actually, it confused the heck out of me, because we held hands a lot and cuddled at a concert. Thought it might go somewhere further, but she was just in it for the English and skinship. Asked her where it was going, and she only wanted the status quo (free English).

I learned later (accidentally by an e-mail from her) that she works at a "bar" at night... I'm guessing as a Hostess.

Maybe this is just projection, but the dancing girls I see almost ALWAYS look one or more of the following choices:

a) cold (these days anyway)
b) embarrassed and wishing they were anywhere else
c) apathetic
d) bored
e) over made-up

What better way to promote your new gimbap restaurant or tiny wee stationery store than to have two scantily clad lasses gyrate around outside the place for a few hours on opening day?

I particularly liked the wee miniskirted Santas who were trying to sell Christmas cakes outside my local Tous Les Jours shop last month... Smile

A few weeks ago I saw some of the girls dancing in downtown Icheon... it was kinda freaking me out cause I was sitting in the McDonald's waiting for a friend and they were dancing right outside the window... so I was doing my best not to stare (it's been a long time since I've seen that much skin)... it was also ungodly cold outside. There were certain body parts that looked like this Shocked it was so cold, and it wasn't their eyes.
