I'm interested in the Skype phone you have available. Does it require a monthly fee or is just having a skype account enough to hook it up to my computer? My parents have a skype account so this would be perfect. |

Skype on that phone will work the exact same as Skype on your computer. Skype-to-Skype is free, but unlimited Skype-to-phones will cost 30USD/year (or pay-as-you-go), and having your own number will cost 30USD/year. Your Skype phone number can be from any number of countries, including America, Canada, England, and Korea, so people in that country can call you for free and you can call them using your unlimited minutes that cost you only 30USD/year. |

There is no skype in Canada. People have been begging for it for years, but the E911 regulation has apparently kept skype out. |

Before anyone tears crossmr apart, what he means is that there are no Skypein numbers currently available in Canada. |

Thanks, I missed an extra IN there. Currently and never available I think is the key here.. skype seems to show no interest in doing anything to comply with E911 regulations and therefore will never offer skype-in numbers in Canada. |
