I was in Itaewon a few weeks ago, and asked an Englishman how he liked being from the 51st state..... he didn't seem to like it, not one bit!
But this begs the question- what's the order of the rest of the new states? I assume it's:
52- Canada. They export good beer and hockey down South!
53- Australia- good for the next ENDLESS SUMMER movie!
54- New Zealand. Or for a secondary discussion, are they going to be annexed by Australia? Think 54 B!
I assume most other English-speaking countries are really just part of the UK....
Q: So who becomes the first Asian American state? I vote for Korea! Just to piss off the Oriental Naoleon to the south! Though i think Japan may take umbrage with that! |

My first job was on Koje Island. When I moved to Kwangju and was there for 4 years most of my students had no idea such a place existed. They all knew Chejudo, but not Kojedo. Same now in my new school in the Seoul area. When you are a native of a country about the size of Florida one would think that you would know the second largest Island, and especially when it is almost as big as Pusan.

Not sure what the statistic on it would be, but id be willing to guess that about 50% of all americans could not name all 50 states in less than an hour, and 75% could not tell you all 50 states and all the capitals.
Many Americans are not concerned about most of the other states let alone knowing much about the rest of the globe.
Im a canadian, and as an educated person I know agerat deal about my own country, a great deal about America ( can name all 50 states and capitals, and I know a great deal about the rest of the globe ( although some of the knowledge is VERY basic)
Anyway, that being said that map is a very cute generalisation. |

I was attending Japanese class under a Korean teacher.
The teacher went to the map and identified South America as Africa.
I thought surely it must have been a mere oversight,
but the following week, she identified China as Canada. |
