Is there an actual, physical, Apple Store location in Korea (Seoul), or is it just authorized distributors and vendors? I've searched on Google and I'm getting mixed returns. Also, the Apple website is stating that there aren't any "box" stores in Seoul.

I need to take my macbook in for service, and I would really like to bring it to an actual Apple store. I just feel safer with the brand name.

There's one in COEX, Samsung Stn, not sure if it's an actual repair center though...

My hard-drive just collapsed too and I'm seeking the same answer. I'll let you know what I find out, and you me ok?

Do you know much about connecting your MAC to another and going into Firewire target disc mode? That might be an option, worse comes to worse.

I've been to the Apple Store in COEX it looked legit to me, had all the standard Apple Store interior design, and they didn't sell any other products there except Apple apart from some headsets and periphrials.

Does anyone have the phone number for the COEX store that does repairs? Do you know if an appointment is needed /hours for repairs/ drop off times, etc.

It's a 4 hour trip for me from the south so I could really use more info before heading up A Busan store would be better but I haven't found one yet. Thanks a lot!

I went to the COEX Apple store and they were not very helpful. There is a place right next to the COEX that is an Apple Service Center (UBASE Kangnam Service Center)

address:3Floor, KIMS 101, 154-2, Samsung-dong, Gangnam-ku, Seoul

The apple store in the COEX could'nt even replace a faulty charger that I had even under warranty. The UBASE center was easy and helpful. They are only open on the weekdays from 9am-6pm, hope this helps

I just had a great experience with UBASE in Busan. I paid 150,000 won for a new hard-drive. That included an upgrade to Leopard too. It was all done while I waited. Really nice guy too! He even replaced my chipped keyboard with a much-less chipped keyboard for free. Highly recommended!
