I'm still here in Dongducheon, living with my wife and son in Jihaeng. Worked at the foreign language high school for a year, was alright, and am in the US Army now. If you miss anything from the states, maybe I can hook you up. I know how much I missed American food and TV when I was teaching.

1 awesome new thing in dongducheon is the brazilian all you can grilled steak and meat restaurant. only $15 too. granted the atmosphere isn't very great, but the food is off the hook and that costs like 35,000won in seoul. it's directly outside of exit 2 bosan station.

Ya that Brazilian place rocks. there's also a great Indian restaurant not far from there also there's a awesome BBQ place called Beavers but it's out past tokkari. there are also a lot of places out in jihang.
I'm still kickin it in Dongducheon and it looks like I'm going to be here for quite some time. Wouldn't mind some drink'n partners.

I've been living in Jihaeng for almost 18 months. I'm leaving next month and I'll miss the place - it's a shame the wife has her heart set on moving.

I have been asked to organise a stag party in this area. Is there any accomodation that will host about 20 drunken lads in this area??

Also, looking for some day time activities like paintballing or go-karting. Is it possibile to do in this area??

Another slight concern that I have is that all the bars close at 1:00 on a Saturday night.

Any info would be great as organising a stag do for 20 people is not easy.

Cheers!!

can't help you on most of your inquiries. however, i'd be pretty amazed if all the bars closed at 1:00am. i don't recall anything being closed at 3:00am in january, and after that.
