My contract will be up at the end of summer and I have a few questions.

1) When do we get paid our severance and housing deposit?
2) I'm planning to travel to several countries on the way home. How does the return flight reimbursement work? Will the school pay me what a ticket home would cost, or do I need to book a refundable ticket and then get reimbursed?
3) When and how does Pension get paid?
4) How long does GEPIK allow you to stay after the last day of the contract?

Thanks in advance for all you previous GEPIK folks!

1) I think on the last day of your contract.
2) I think you need to buy a refundable ticket and get it reimbursed.
3) Brits don't get the pension back, but I'd guess you'd receive that on the last day of your contract.
4) I think you have to leave the country the date your ARC expires. If you go to immigration before the visa expires, you can get an extension for 30 days or something like that.

Please be aware I am not totally sure of any of the answers given above. Laughing

You won't get your ticket reimbursed if you let your school know you are not going home.

Say for exmple that you tell your school you will go to Thailand. They will only pay for the cost of the trip to Thailand and even then I think it is discretionary.

Do you have to sign a form for your airfare reimbursment? I have signed my pension, last months pay and I get back my three months deposit on the day I love out (in cash..)
