I'm currently in the same boat...playing the waiting game. My recruiter got my docs about 2 weeks ago as well.
I passed my interview, and took care assembling my visa docs...I'm not too worried. |

| I sent my documents three weeks ago but contacted my recruiter today and she said I should hear from them any day now. I hope. I was worried, but happy to see other people are in the same situation! |

Okay guys relax!!!!
One of the main reasons that you are all waiting is because firstly there are many, many more applications this year than last year.
Also, and much more importantly, the contract renewal applications are still going through. EPIK and the provincial offices of education (POE) do not know which foreigners will be renewing and of those that are, which are staying or want to be moved.
After they take care of us, then they will be sending out the information to you guys and they won't be finished with us for another week or two. |

Well, the only thing I'm worried about is the possibility that they accepted too many people during the interviews, which would obviously result in some problems...
That said, I dropped my recruiter an e-mail checking in earlier this week, and he didn't seem concerned, so that abated by worries significantly. |

| I've got an idea. Find a different job. Unless you are content in reading the hundreds of posts on here about how EPIK teacher's co-teacher's/schools are crazy, vacation actually sucks, unpaid summer/winter camps etc. Otherwise I guess you could wait it out an keep your fingers crossed. Good Luck! |

Some of those post may just as well be true. However, I'll take my chances with EPIK in a public school than any hagwon any day. |

Well, if this offers anyone relief, my recruiter just sent me my contract and addenda yesterday night for SMOE.
I've been waiting for these documents for a while now. I understand SMOE and EPIK are separate entities, but they're both government programs.
Good luck to all of you who are still waiting. |

| I sent my documents in over a month ago and still haven't heard anything. My friend applied directly to EPIK while I went through a recruiter, and she got her contract 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing people who applied directly have the advantage. |
