Hi there. I'm new to this forum and have spent hours going through the stickies so I hope I'm not asking any silly questions here.

My girlfriend has recently been accepted to do a year on exchange at a university in Suwon, so I'll be joining her there from late August. We're both working in the UK over the summer, so I really need to find a job before I fly out.

Ideally, I'd like to teach adults or uni students. I have a Bachelor of Engineering, CELTA, IHCYL, and have completed 6/8 units in a Master of Applied Linguistics (TESOL). I've been in the TEFL game for 5 years now, and have experience in unis and private schools, teaching both adults and young learners.

I'm not after a big salary, but a secure job with the usual benefits (paid airfare, assistance with accommodation, holidays etc). Most importantly, I want to teach. I don't want to babysit 40 kindergarten children in a classroom for 6 hours a day. Could anyone give me any tips on how to find something that might suit?

Cheers.

Dave's Job Board for a general search

Recruiters for hakwon (institute) jobs: use them all...

Post your resume and preferences on any ESL job board for Korea you can find

Check out the web pages of universities and colleges in the area you'll want to be working

Good luck.

I know of a couple of adult hagwons in Suwon.

One in particular needs a new teacher at the end of August. Typical students are from Samsung, LG, etc . Email me at [email protected], if you would like more info on this job.
