I'm a guy, and I know Koreans freak out when anyone shows a little stomach, guys don't take their shirts off, etc. etc.

I was wondering though....I live in a big officetel with a roof that you can walk around on. I've been up there like 10 times (to smoke and enjoy the view) and I've never seen anyone else there. It's not really pretty and there isn't really any place to sit....

Would it be weird if I sunbathed on my roof? I'd wear a bathing suit of course....but it seems like a perfect place to get some sun every now and then. I wouldn't get in trouble for it I don't think, just want to hear your thoughts. Would you do it? Have you done it? Maybe the Korean culture is wearing off on me a bit too much, haha.

I've done it in every officetel I've ever lived in, as well as thrown small shindig/barbecue/beer parties. As long as you clean up after yourself, I don't think it'll be a problem at all.

I do it at mine. I also run with my shirt off when I go on the path near the river.

Asians freak out because most of them are deathly afraid of getting a tan and automatically assume we're getting skin cancer.

I figure I dont live in Dubai, I can show the same skin in public that people show at the beach as long as I'm in an appropriate place (running outside by the river, on the roof getting a tan, etc.).

I go shirtless on the river paths while riding my bike several times a week, and no one has called the police on me.

Seriously, there's nothing illegal about it, so go for it! The most I get is old guys yelling at me, but I can shrug that off.

I seen korean guys topless down by han river, well it was in them swimming pool areas but still it was in public. also I hate guys who strut around topless like around the streets and going in shops, with their skinny body frame makes me sick.. im also against women who take their tops off for attention too so its not just the men!

I have met and know many, many, koreans who are two faced, sanctimonious, hypocrites� always complaining about others when they need to be looking in the mirror.
Look at all the love hotels! Massage parlors! Barber shops! Sex houses. Abortions. Adoptions.
Get on that roof and show them abs and work o the tan! The ajumma's will love it!
They will be calling each other, telling their friends about the foreigner on the roof streaking!

I also saw a Korean guy running topless on the treadmill the other day. Wonder how well it would've been received if it were me.
