I've ordered some supplements from bodybuilding.com
and my package has stuck at the customs because
it contains more than 6 bottles in it.

Now they say I should either find a prescriptoion
or separate the package removing just 6 bottles and
destroying or sending the rest back.

Also the tax is 20%.

Anyone had similar expirience?
Or maybe someone knows where I can get that kind of prescription?
Any kind of advice please!

how many different things did you order. looks like you better take the most expensive things. just go down and pick through it and try to see if they will allow you just this one time or something. sounds like a rule to stop untaxed resellin of stuff but I have no idea. thanks for the info. limit yourself to ordering six things guys.

go down to the customs place, take out the stuff you are allowed, send the rest of it home and get your parents or friends to send it back to you in seperate packages over a few days, or send it to you and your co-workers at the same time this would allow them to divide out the amount you can bring in

Shoot. This is easy.

Go to customs.
Outside, get pumped. Rip off 100 pushups in 60 seconds. (Or 1000. I don't know how big you are.)

Go see your stuff.

Get twitchy. Reach for it, fingers clasping.

Say things like, "Food, you give me." "Hungry, me hungry."

If you're big enough , they'll give you your gear and hope you don't eat someone.

Forget it. Don't waste your energy dealing with those idiots. It will just be sent back and you will lose the shipping costs.

i am really encouraged and motivated

i've ordered about 12 things,
mostly using buy 2 get 1 free option...
i was witing for this delivery for a month
and got almost out of protein supplies.

even going there and biting a piece of each
seems like an solution to me.

i'll try going to hospital and get the prescription
and post the results here, otherwize I'll just
get out the most expensice stuff
and send the rest to North Korea

also for those who interested, I've ordered before
using ebay (i can pm the seller name) and they named
everything like vitamins and declared 20$ price on invoice
and it all came fine to me.

Sorry it has to be like that OP. That stinks. I hope you get your stuff. If you can get a seller to gift it to you on the customs declaration form, then it goes directly to you. Ebay sellers do it all the time, but corporate businesses such as Amazon won't give you this benefit. The fact Korea lacks import products is tough, importing has proven to be a tougher feat. I get the idea. They don't want you to order any quantity as to not be a dealer under the radar not that these are illegal products and may have no competing similar Korean products. It's just import restrictions to ensure domestic economic protectionism. And it's just plain silly to require a prescription for supplements, but Korea is very anti-drug to the point of seeing anything other than food and domestically produced alcohol as a controlled substance. Even foreign food is restricted with high tariffs where a $3 American item costs $7 to $10.

I decided I wasn't going to buy supplements other than Centrum vitamins and Ginko in Seoul as I get by just fine on food. Chicken, salmon, and nuts provide a great deal of proteins and nutrients to support lean muscle growth as long as you burn more calories than you consume. I decided I wasn't going to have American sellers ship stuff to me since the taxes are high and it is probably a real hassle to get the stuff out of customs in Incheon or Seoul when I'm working far away each day they're open.

Next time, just ask the K trainer at your gym. At mine, he's some 25 year old pumped Mr. Korea competitor who is pretty nice and I just tell him what I want, he takes me to the different K sites for that crap, I point to it, he orders it, I pay him cash, say thanks, wait 3/4 days and I have it.

Done. I guess you learn these things. Korea is not friendly,easy or cheap to get things shipped over (generally).

Are protein supplements hard to find in Korea? I've heard meat is pricey in Korea, and I figure if it's pricey for beef then milk must be pricey too. And if milk is expensive then so would be protein supplements. That's assuming they're even available.

I'm planning on returning to the gym once I'm in Korea so it'd be nice to know.
