Pinnacle Studio 9 + Adobe Premiere 7 = a solid combination.
Free=you get what you paid for.
I had bought the old Pinnacle Studio software but they wouldn't update me so I just hit the net and got a pirated copy. I don't feel so bad as I did buy it - just they don't upgrade more than 1 or 2 big upgrades. (for free)
Adobe Premiere is expensive but you can use the trial version, and if you aren't against piracy, just find a crack for the trial.
If I knew how to get an educational discount here in Korea, i'd buy it or get my school to buy it, Adobe Premiere is the best out there.
(If you want to try pinnacle out and have highspeed+know how to use FTP send me a PM, I still got it rar'd up on my HD) |

I've got Premiere 6.0 (downloaded through Limewire) and while a bit bewildering at first, I was soon able to do what I want with it. I found the help section really useful. |

Maybe I didn't give it enough of a go, but I thought Premiere had too few audio and video channels (two of each if I recall correctly). Hell, if that's all you need Movie Maker comes with windows and will do the trick and has tons of effects.
Video Vegas has unlimited (maybe not, but as many as you'd want) video and audio channels, so mixing is a breeze. On the downside, I haven't been able to find a crack to allow me to download plugins and updates. |

I use Pinnacle Studio and Ulead, though Adobe Premiere is excellent and has a LOT of plugins available. |

Maybe you didn't give it enough of a go Beav! A standard timeline window has only two of each, but you can add more... not sure what the limit is but I just had a quick play and added 10 of each |

Do any of you guys have your videos online? It's very easy, so PM me if you don't know how (have to have a web page or some way of storing it online though).
You can see mine at www.seoulstream.com
By the way, I utilize Adobe Premiere LE, Photoshop, and Microsoft Media Encoder. |
