Hi, I'm Josh who's waiting for your call 9am to 6pm mon to fri in Suwon.
031-120 scratches your itch -
1. metro information (bus, subway, train, ferry, flight schedule etc)
3. general counseling (unpaid salary, workman's compensation, immigration, visa, labor department related matters, change of employment, seerance pay, marriage, housing rental, assult, fraud...)
4. education (korean class, computer classes, migrated women and children's programs, immigration and labor law educations )
5. tourism (other cultural and social events, fancy resturants, etc)
6. tips for living in Korea
7. other requiries are welcome
8. never forget to transfer to Josh whenever you call. ^^
no worry about the cost, above services are all free.
My workplace Gyeonggi-do Call Centre belongs to Gyeonggido Government which is able to handle your matters seriously in the area you're struggling with during stay in Korea as foreigners.
Anyway I wish my little assistance would be helpful your life in Korea. |

Great avatar! What is the, "scratches your itch," part? I thought it was a troll at first.
Is this like the 1330 tourist info line or the same thing? |

I think 1330 is run by the Korea Tourism Association and the 120 number is run by Seoul city government, and more for living in Korea. |

this is kind of interesting and I actually applaud the effort and the service.
but one thing makes me very leery of believing this is run by Koreans and the govt.
please note the avatar, yes it's kind of cool, but I couldn't help but notice the name of the sea on Korea's east coast bordering Japan. |

Agreed. 1330 belongs to Korea Tourism Association and pretty much focused on info for foreigners not handling with complaints, proposals serioulsy compared the govt.
/ 02-120 belongs to Seoul-si government and due to the area code people confuse to contact me with considering that 120 is under same govt. Simply speaking, 02-120 helps residents in Seoul and 031-120 helps the others in Gyeonggi-do. I'm a part of the second one and considering to assist foreigners by doing my job under the govt.
/ The general duty I'm doing is to receive both Korean and foreigners' complaints and proposal to change ways for their better lives in Gyeonggi-do. But even if foreigners who are far from Gyeonggi-do appeal some matters to me I'd hand them over to the right govt to be sorted out conviniently.
/ metro info from 120 is very useful whenever you get confused buses, subways, trains, etc. I'm quite good at providing this service in a short time. The gbis system I use helps me provide correct and quick info. So never worry about getting lost in street. I'm with you.^^
Anyway thanks a lot for your positive responses and I'm pleased to answer them with my best. |
