It's me again. Instead of asking about the country this time, I was actually a bit more curious about the school. I got most of my information finally, but I still just have a few more questions about Inha.
Just a quick note, I'm not going there to teach, I'm going there to study for an exchange program.
-Orientation: I've looked nearly everywhere for the date! They mention that it'll be going on in the handbook, but I don't seem to have an actual date. I'm just wondering if it's before the move into the dormitories, or after. It's more figuring out when I'm flying in.
-Apparently no one is picking us up at the airport, so we'll have to get their our own way. I was thinking of just taking the Limousine bus (though I have no idea what one looks like). Anyway, I just wanted to verify that the Juan shuttle was still available during the evening (since that's when I'll probably be arriving).
-General: It's a lot harder to find pictures and blogs of the Inha compared to places like Yonsei or Korea University. So I was just curious as to how the atmosphere of the school is, how open are the Korean students to the international ones, etc. You know, just like to get an overall experience, whether it's been good or bad. I'll be going anyway, but just wanna prepare myself.
That's about it. Thanks for any insight you can give me!
Oh yeah- random, but did anyone else get the H1N1 paper? Personally, I'm a bit nervous, just because the last time I traveled, I got a bit sick when I landed. It sounds like if you even just cough, they'll quarantine ya. |

If you don't have this link, maybe they can answer your questions.
The airport bus to Incheon actually passes by Inha if I remember correctly but it is faster to get off at Juan.
The 511 bus to Inha runs in the late evening...I have taken it before 12 but I believe after 12 you might have a problem.
A cab wouldn't be that expensive and Inha is really well known so just saying Inha would get you to the University. |

Myeah, I've sent them emails but they never seem to repsond (slackers! )
And yeah, I think the bus takes about 90 minutes, where the Limousine takes about 60, but then it's about another 15 minutes from the school I think after you get to Juan. |

Limousine busses are just big busses. Something like a Greyhound. They cost about 6,000-7,000 won and leave the airport every 30 minutes or so. When you arrive at the airport head outside and find the kiosk selling tickets. Tell them where you want to go, buy your ticket, and find the older looking gentlemen whose job it is to get you on the right bus.
When you arrive at Juan, catch a taxi to Inha. A taxi should run you less than 5,000 won. |

| You should find lots of stewardess wannabes who form one of Korea's largest suppliers of plastic surgery patients. If tall and pale with a high nose bridge is your type of woman, the scenery should be nice. |

The boys aren't bad, either.
The shuttle doesn't run in the evenings, and not at all during summer vacation. Hop on the 511 if you don't have too much luggage. Easy as pie to find (just outside the station in the parking lot) and empty when you board at Juan, so you're sure to get a seat. You'll know the university when you see it.
The campus is pretty nice, from what I've seen. Lots of benches and trees for shade. Only just once wandered into the student center, but there seems to be a lot going on in there.... |

Hey guys, thanks for the answers.
Also, YBS, I should've mentioned that I am a straight gal, so I guess the whole plastic surgery women don't really affect me, but whatever floats peoples boats.
Also sounds like it might just be easier if I take the regular bus if I end up at the airport in the evening. I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully I won't pack too much. |
