| are you allowed to have real BBQs on your balcony? I assume charcoal is a no go cause of smoke |
Sure thing. Charcoal would be no problem. Done it tons on times. No one would complain about the BBQ, but they might call the cops if you're noisy.
That's the problem with there being a language barrier..........they don't want to confront the scary foreigners who they assume can't speak Korean, so they just call the cops to sort it out.
My BBQ marinade is a simple soy sauce, ground pepper, sesame oil and ground garlic mix. Or variants of any condiments I have lurking...... |

I guess that depends on your neighbors. I got 2 complaints from people who called the security guards when I was using the weber on the balcony. Switched to a gas bbq from Costco, no problems. Overpriced, but when you are craving a good steak, the frypan just doesn't stack up.
As for the marinade, I wouldn't waste an expensive piece of steak!
On chicken... soy, honey, garlic, some green onion, and olive oil... in the fridge overnight.
On pork... cumin, whole grain mustard, honey, paprika, sage, salt, pepper.. rubbed on and left overnight. |
