My apartment is brand new. I'm not the cleanest guy, but I'm not a slob either. I always do the dishes right after I use them, etc.

I think living on the first floor is part of the problem. The way they slap these buildings together, I'm sure there's several ways for them to get in.

I had a few up until last week, when i called in the fumigator. Left a bit of a chemical stench for a couple of days, but it and the roaches are gone now...
They come indoors more to keep warm in the winter. They can get especially bad if you live on the ground floor.

I agree, I lived on teh first floor, and had an ongoing problem. I have lived on the 11th floor and 9th floor with no problems.

No, I have never had roaches in any place I have lived in Korea, nor have I ever seen a roach in Korea.

and what floor will you be living on for the next 5 days Laughing ???

Oh VanIslander... I got the heebie jeebies reading about your centipede thing. I've had two of them in my apartment though about a quarter of the size and I freaked out BIG time. *shudder* They're just soooo creepy.

I've seen only two small cockroaches in my apartment but some of the cockcroaches I have seen in Korea look like they belong on the set of Jurassic Park *shudder*.

I'm on the 8th floor, and I've got a small number of them.

First there were tons of ants, but they've since disappeared... perhaps due to the cold weather. Or maybe the roaches ate them....

One thing I've noticed: while Korean mosquitoes might be smarter and faster, the roaches here are slow and DUMB!
