All the big department stores such as Hyundai, Galleria and Lotte food halls usually have a big selection.

Yeah, I think I might have seen it at Homeplus, but not sure. If they have it, it will be in the western-style/baking section with all the spices...you'll probably find it in the fresh-griding kinda container.

I thought this was a joke. every grocery store sells sea salt. Unless you want Kosher, Korea is the place for salt. It is actually one of the things illegal to import to Korea because they are one of the largest manufacturers exporters of salt.

Look for the larger grains of salt, some are not sea salt but they are not iodized either.

Go to any street market.

When you see an ajumma with a big bucket of salt in largish crystals, chances are it's sea salt. There are quite a number of salt farms on the west coast and their product ends up in the markets.

It's cheap too.

GS Mart in Songpa has it. It's a pretty big grocery store/market.

BTW, I found sea salt at E-Mart at Yongsan Station. In Korean it's called Pada Sogeum.

I got a present of bamboo-salt from a student, if you want to try it. It smells like a huge egg-digested fart. You can buy it off me anytime to substitute the sea salt if you have problems finding it. Smile
