Lol I love how most of the regular topics on Dave's degenerate into
KOREANS ARE RACIST!
but the one topic on white supremacy ends up in giant discussion about Marxism.... |

That depends if you consider "white complaining about racism in Korea" a regular topic, as I assume this thread is a derivative of that.
Sorry it didn't go in the direction you hoped for. "Economics trumps race" as succinctly put by Captain Corea in the thread you were inspired by. |

I had hoped to see interesting discussions about racism, since it's something that most foreigners seem so keen to discuss in every single other topic. A person could start a topic about anything (coffee, the weather, a music band) and it'll lead back to how Korea can't do it right, Korea's too xenophobic, Korea's so racist, Korea is so backwards, it's not like this back home, etc.
I didn't expect to have a back and forth conversation of "my brain is bigger than yours, so there." I guess this is why I should never have high hopes on Dave's. |

So why not start off, then? All you did was provide a bunch of links. I'm assuming you were just waiting for someone to bite, and no one quite did as you had expected.
But also, keep in mind the title of your thread isn't "racism," it's "white supremacy." Racism is a bit more multifaceted than stormfront. |

That should take a few more pages, but if it lasts long enough we'll eventually get there...based on past form. |

My bad. I suck.
I'm wondering if anyone else read the article and wished they could save those kids from that ignorant pig teacher. If the kids are bright enough to question the material they are being presented, the teacher should have been jumping up and down for joy and making an effort to provide some material the kids actually wanted to learn. If they want to learn about african americans they can dedicate their whole lives to it and not scratch the surface. The curriculum is flawed, good on those kids for pointing it out. |

But at least it is now only MOST of us that are racist, not all of us as we were the other day. I guess we must be making some progress. Maybe our goal should be to have only ALMOST ALL OF US BEING RACIST.

Let's turn this into a language lesson.
Fill in the blank with the correct letter.

| In other words, race does exist, and is relevant. |
Race is an ideological construct that exists to support inequality. ... So, yes, race exists the same way a lie exists.
The media and education system is pretty much designed to propagate that crap. ... Everyone believes the lie.
|
If you majored in anthropology you've probably heard of forensic anthropology, and you know that one can identify a skeleton's race without difficulty.
Of course race exists. Being aware of that is natural. 'Colourblindness' and 'diversity' and forced integration are the unnatural social constructions. And if you think that the education system or the media is propagating racism you're tilting at windmills. It's kind of funny actually, that the white supremacists on stormfront say government institutions are doing the opposite of what you say they're doing. What is the status quo, these days? It's not what it was 30, 40, 50 years ago. |
Yes, they can determine a lot of facts about a person's skeleton. But not all those facts elicit much about a persons identity. The color of a person's skin should be as pertinent as eye color or hair color. Despite a good deal of money going to socio-biologists to prove otherwise, race alone will not affect behavior. |
You've now admitted that race exists, though you maintain that it's not important on its own.
What about people who feel that their race is a major part of their identity? Again, this is most people besides university educated whites. I suppose you would tell the black students in that school that their identity is a lie. Why should they want to study other blacks, after all? They have nothing in common besides skin colour. (And skeletal structure.) |

He just smirked, looked out the window,
and sucked air through his teeth.
Perhaps this was a regional thing, but
the blacks often sucked air through their
teeth as a wordless expression of disdain
or hostility.
I have to... can't restrain myself... the thread will dengenerate, I know.. hold back, hold back... don't be 'that guy'...no the urge is too strong... gaaaahhh........................
