Is there any way to do it?
I don't want to waste time loading their big ass avatar or scrolling past the *bleep* they post... or said big avatar.
And some of you could use it to block me. |

It is doable using browser settings, probably a better post for the tech forum. There are definitely posters I'd rather not read (some of whom are probably really nice people but are just always unnecessarily longwinded) |

There is a way...you need to download some stuff. I use it, but I can't exactly remember what it is...'Mondo Pita' is what I see in the corner of my screen.
Ah, found it.

Awesome green, thanks. Just what I wanted.
It looks a little funny down there but I'm not complaining. And of course it only shows up when I'm browsing this kind of forum, so it's all good... |

On other forums there is usually an option to shut off avatars for a forum.
God that would help so much with Dave's especially since I always read it at work. |

With opera all you have to do is right click hit block images and click the ones you want to block, then hit done.
can also be done with firefox with an extension
well for images posters there is a way which has been linked above |

I think there's a bug, I tried to do a ton of days and it reset so I saw the poster come up today. Gah. I'll try to set it to 900 days then. |

Am I one of the posters that you want to block? Are you a Duke fan? |

I'll try to be less long-winded. It is pretty easy to block avatars if you feel some of the images are getting racy. I don't block avatars but I block those "Play now, my Lord" ads that are everywhere. I use a Firefox plugin called Adblock Plus.
As to stupid things that people post... well, take your money back! |
