Hey Guys,

Me and the lady are off to Jeju for a week at the end of July. Any advice on accomodations? We're torn between booking a hotel before we leave, or winging it and looking around for the best deal once we arrive. I assume it'll be busy, so are we foolish not to book beforehand, or are there tons of good places that aren't advertised on the net?

Thanks a bunch.

I went in February and played it by ear. But that was because it was February.

My parents went in April and tried to wing it but wound up staying at the Lotte because everything else was booked. But, I have a suspicion the tourism people at the airport were not going tor ecommend two 60 year old foreigners a yogwan.

Just adding that for perspective.

I'd ring down there and ask how busy it gets.

Enjoy!

The same 30-40,000 a night motels as anywhere else. You can read 'motel' in Hanguel can't you? If not, just ask someone. I found the people friendly. You could camp a few nights if you have a tent. Plenty of nice places to do so.

I've seen people camp in regular parks on Jeju. I assume you can do that anywhere in Korea? Might be fun.

Just keep an eye on the weather forecast, though. Lately Jeju's been seeing more rain than I'd like, so I hope your travels at the end of July are rain-free.
