Has anyone had success contacting Dave Sperling via PM? By success, I mean a response. If you were successful, I'm curious about the nature of your correspondence.

Nope. I messaged him - if he even really exists - about a separate Laos forum...no response.

I emailed him a few years back about a name change, and that got done within a week.

I e-mailed him a few years back...when he decided to experiment with an unmodded board.


The forums quickly turned into cyber 'gutters' so to speak...when I first saw it, I thought someone had hacked his board and wrote him an e-mail expressing my concerns about it.

He wrote back the next day and told me that he had just removed moderation for a while to see how things went...but the forums would be cleaned up pronto.

Getting in contact with him via pms, no. Getting in contact with him through other means, yes. A year or so ago, there were two posters here that were nothing but....

Anyways, they didn't belong here. They thrived on making fun of people and never once offered anything helpful. All they really liked to do was give backhanded compliments, snide remarks, etc. I contact Dave about this. I did get an email back from him, the contents of which I won't disclose.

I am sure I wasn't the only person annoyed with the two nor do I think I was the only reason to have those two banned from this site. But, according to Dave's correspondence, he seemed appreciative.
