Keane lost all face with me and many fans after the news came out of the lead singer's drug abuse. They haven't been the same since.
Brand New Heavies are a great band.
UB40
Coldplay
Queen
Oasis
Def Leppard
Genesis
U2
Pink Floyd
New Order
Depeche Mode
Besides the rick-roll, I still get into Rick Astley as well as Simply Red.
For oldies I get into the Moody Blues & The Bee Gees. |

U2 British? Dude, check your geography.
Let's add some noise here for you gentlemen
Napalm Death, the godfathers of Grindcore
Carcass, purveyors of all things distasteful, tracks such as "crepitating bowel erosion" and "embryonic neucropsy and devourement" ranks as some of the most hideous lyrics of all time.
Cream
The Swans
Siouxie and the Banchees |

| There was music in Britain, long before Chuck Berry & Elvis. Travelling minstrels & old English folk tunes & nursery rhymes eg. Just one example that comes to mind is 'Auld Lang Syne', written by Robert Burns in 1788, & set to the tune of a traditional folk song (Roud # 6294). I'm not British, btw. |
Ummm... if you're talking about the 18th century, most future Americans were actually still British at that point... I don't think there was much of a difference until later on.
Anyway, I definitely prefer American and Canadian music to British. British music was probably the best thing going until around 1999, when the good American and Canadian indie bands started to appear. |

No, I'm not talking about the 18th century. Travelling Minstrels & old English folk songs have been around since the Middle Ages & even before then. |
