Anyone interested in Korea before the Miracle on the Han, here is a set of photos taken by my brother while he was stationed here in 1966-1967. 34 of them are now on permanent display at the Suwon Museum of Modern History. Enjoy!

Yeah, pretty neat photos. Took me a couple of years to get Suwon's attention, but once the people in City Hall saw them.... the pictures speak for themselves.
I still have control of the slides and I got ahold of an old slide projector. I use the pictures in my classes to teach the vocabulary on "How to describe your history/country" The students love that unit! |

Excellent photography.
However, I'd say some of those photos could have been taken today ( in my small rural K town). |

Fascinating pictures! Thanks...
Makes me realize how different Korea is 43 years later. |

| Someone posted some PDF articles of Korea from 1919 and 1948 from National Geographic some time back. Those were pretty interesting. Korea does not look like a good place to live in 1919! |

Do you suppose the Seoul Museum of Modern History was interested in the "Short Timer's" Girlie caledar on page 2? |
