Was it the economy back home?

Did you just want to travel?

What was your main motivation?

I worked back in the west for 15 years. Some good jobs. Others could have been better. Took a look at my bank account balance at $3.50 and asked myself "Is there really more to life than this?"

To blow paycheck after paycheck sitting on beautiful sandy beaches and drinking rum runners while watching the sailboats on the weekends, then teaching little brats during the week to make money for the following weekend.

I figured, with all the college kids saving all this cash over here, what if I came with the intent of spending it? Call it a year-long paid vacation, then I go back home to the humdrum ho-hum.

No beaches.

No sailboats.

No destination resorts.

But going back home with a fat stack of cash, that I can live with. It's not quite paradise, but it's home.

I left home right out of university. I wanted to live in Asia and save up money while thinking of what to do with my life.

I did the first part. Kind of have a general idea of the second.

I'm a TESOL major, and I love languages/other cultures. I want to go to Korea, live my life, get old, and retire in Scotland. However, I'm probably one of the youngest people on this board, so I'm not 100% sure yet though.

ALSO: My college sweetheart is Korean, so my destination is pretty much set.

Save enough money to get to Africa and get involved with development work there. And see a lot of Asia on the way.

although i'm not "here" yet, i'm mainly going to korea to travel and indulge my longstanding interest in asian culture generally. my first choice was actually japan, but the ESL market over there is totally flooded. i figured a couple years of experience somewhere else gives me a better chance of getting into japan. it was either this or china, and i didn't really wanna live under a totalitarian government so... korea here i come.

I'm part of the Mexican Drug Cartel trying to Stab him in the Heart.
After our official registry with drugcartel.org we are a Proper noun, use capitals F O.
(edited the drugcartel, it tried to post a link)

Didn't really have the funds to move to start a life after college or even get an internship with my degrees in Finance/German.

Thought about teaching English in Japan as an excuse to just go back there and improve my Japanese, but the market saturation and cost of living dissuaded me.

Figured Korea would be a great opportunity to help me decide what I want to do. Soju's kinda distracted me.

My Korean bank account has about this much in it right now.

Thank God tomorrow is payday.

Why should I? What is the worst thing you can do to me? Aside from stabbing me in the heart?
