I am not saying to not buy these, but make sure you get the steps down. This seller is not selling them in the container they were sold in which means there are NO instructions. Videos online aren't clear as to how you are to use them.
I think the steps are as follows:
1) Apply first top strip for 30 minutes.
2) Wipe the bleaching mixture off teeth, but don't brush. Make sure to wash your hands or the bleach will whiten your skin.
3) Apply first bottom strip for 30 minutes.
4) Do the same as 2.
There would be one more application with the second pack, but I don't know when you are supposed to do this. I am assuming one in the morning and one at night.
Also, the upper strips seem to stay on well, but the lower strips can easily come off. So, what I do is hold my head up like being at a dentist's office. This makes sure saliva doesn't make the strip come off. |
Uhmmmm....its not rocket science. You put them on your teeth for 30 minutes a day in the morning and at night. Crest is KINDA a famous brand in North America I think So there are lots of info online and on their website
I dont think I gotta come to your place to help put them on
What you see in the pic is what you get. Nothing more, nothing less.
There was no box in the pic, therefore, NO box.
I had 7 or so of these kits sent over here from back home. They come in a big enough sized case and there is nothing else in the box. It was easier for my family to just remove the strips from the original cases and send them all in one large box. I didnt intend on selling them, so why would I have all of the strips sent over in their original cases and waste space and pay more in shipping ????????
Its not until later that I learned more about them, that I realized that I didnt need that many sets so I thought Id sell the rest on here.
and "lifeinkorea", I think you got a pretty good deal considering they are double the cost back home what you paid and more than triple here. Plus getting them in a day or so after you paid to your door.
A lot of Spliffs on these boards lately. Dont know a good price when they see one. Price is 33.000 won FIRM on the last kit including the shipping costs. Im pretty sure you wont be pming me about them, right?
If no takers, Ill just use them myself. |

If you know the instructions it's not. However, there are different kinds of strips, and if you are not careful you could damage your teeth by leaving them in too long. You only sent me the strips. There is NOTHING on the wrappers to show how long we should put them in for. You know it's 30 cause you have the instructions, or did you just buy them and assume coincidentally that you should leave them in for 30 minutes?
Please consider informing buyers, that's all I am initiating here. I don't see why you have to get so defensive. A simple comment would be "likeinkorea is right, I am sorry for not mentioning this". It's common sense to me, maybe not to others to share this information.

I don't know how you expect to paint a good image of yourself that way, the Crest strips have nothing to do with you personally, and that would make me consider buying them. However, if you made something and tried to sell it, with that attitude I surely wouldn't want to buy from you. Consideration for others goes a long way. You might want to try it. Is it that hard to let people know?

Yes, for the record (from videos I have seen) it does seem like I got a good deal. After finding out how to use them, this is my first real day. That is why I am posting because I saw nothing to indicate how long to use them for. I figured it would benefit someone else who might be using the other sets you sold or possibly another person who doesn't know either. Maybe they don't know for certain how to use them.
I have looked at videos, even the Crest ad ones on Youtube and NONE of them say to use them for 30 minutes.
Is it possible that a normal person simply isn't aware of how long to put them in for? If they ask you, why do you have to give them attitude about it? If you do use them and know, it's generally a good idea to share the information. Maybe you aren't that kind of person.
Anyway, to those interested make sure you keep the strips over the teeth and check every so often that they are still on properly. These strips don't stick too well. I had to keep pushing the top one up today and the bottom one would often peel off. |

Ah, no, I didnt have instructions. As I mentioned before, I checked the website. A logical thing to do.
Please consider informing buyers, that's all I am initiating here. I don't see why you have to get so defensive. A simple comment would be "likeinkorea is right, I am sorry for not mentioning this". It's common sense to me, maybe not to others to share this information.
No, Im not saying youre right. Its not up to me how you use them. Im not a dentist, Im only selling a product. How about saying YOU are wrong?

But I dont make anything so it is irrelevant. If I did, I would explain every detail. But Crest Whitestrips arent my product so its up to the consumer who buys them to be responsible and find the proper usage. Im not a dentist. So youre saying you would take my word, a stranger, and not double check tomake sure how to use them correctly? Doesnt sound too
smart to me

For the third time, check their website, Im NOT a dentist!

Ummm..so youre trying to find on these on YouTube??? Not the brightest place to look for dental instructions. How about the Crest website???? Wow, what an idea!!!

Yes, it is possible. Irresponsible people who should ALWAYS check for themselves through reliable sources, not only from a member on Daves
And just to let you know, youre the ONLY person who complained after over 13 positive transactions for items I have sold to other members
Getting lowballed on the price should have been a warning for what was to come. But I live with my transactions since I agreed to all of them

KAMAKAZI,
You have used these, you are selling them, and I think it is only fair to share the information you have from experience instead of taking the attitude you have you shown. I won't repeat what I outlined already for others, but rather give an analogy. If I sold a camera after some use, I would comment on something like the battery life. Even though any buyer could look up the information on their own, I would have first hand knowledge of it. It's interesting you made a comment about going to a person's house to help them, because that's exactly the kind of person I am. I have gone to people's homes when selling things to make sure it is not only what they want but also that it works as claimed without any problems.
It's a choice, I prefer to share and I'll end it at that. I don't really care how you deal with it, and I hope there are less people around of your ilk. You're apparently too wrapped up in yourself to recognize things from other people's point of view. |

oh my god, would you please just give it a rest??
whether you realize it or not, you were being a dick disguised as a "nice guy"... i dont think anyone here needed your help in figuring out how to use the damn strips. if they had needed it, i'm sure they would have asked the seller themselves.
good for you. i'm glad you're such a helpful seller... going to people's homes and such. seriously, good for you.

I tried the logic route, I guess that fails on Dave's LOL.
I did ask the seller, that's why I commented in the thread. I understand you couldn't have read those PM's, but that's what I did.
I find it funny that he talks about knowing about the various kinds of packs on our own, yet he got mommy dearest to send him the packs LOL
If you don't like the fact I mentioned to others about the 30 minutes, to clarify, as opposed to the following page which refers to the 5 minute packs, well tough
http://www.whitestrips.com/whitestrips-products/whitestrips-multicare-details.jsp
Since there was no box with it, it might be a bit confusing for people know which time schedule to use. I understand now it's 30, but I wasn't sure. I guess I have weird friends, we help each other with this kind of stuff LOL |

For your information, I found out the various kinds from the SOURCE, CREST!, not my mother! See how logical it was to do that. I didnt call my mother and ask how to apply them now, did I ? I checked ON MY OWN and found out the necessary information. I didnt ask someone on Youtube
What do you mean "well tough" ???? You can mention to others all you want about 30 minutes, 5 minutes, heck 1000 minutes, why does that matter to me? Thats your prerogative |

Well folks, since we shouldn't use Youtube videos, I guess we have to work off the incomplete information on the Crest site.
http://www.whitestrips.com/whitestrips-products/whitestrips-premium-details.jsp
At the bottom are instructions, but they left out one thing. The strips are not the same length. You'll have to guess 50/50 based on that page.
So, AFTER I looked at that page and couldn't find the information on the site, I took the evil sin route and went to Youtube hell. A few people on there said to put the long strip on the top teeth and shorter one on the lower teeth. It may be wrong, but I don't see where it says otherwise. |

Haha, youre really amusing!! How about reading on the packets themselves ???
one says U..P...P...E....R and the other says L..O..W...E...R...
If youre an English teacher, I think you can handle that. Or you could always ask your students what it says
Man, if you can't find out how to use these things yet by looking at the link that YOU posted, there is really no hope for you and you shouldnt be teaching people
Do I have to copy and paste every word from the link for you??????
http://www.whitestrips.com/whitestrips-products/whitestrips-premium-details.jsp
Under Product Information and product FAQS
Say it one more time lifeinkorea, Product Information and product FAQS
Remember that, ok?
After you just discovered how wrong you are since ALL the information is on the SOURCES site, you come up with a totally different argument to make yourself TRY and look smart. "Oh my, do I put one on the top or bottom??"
I see youre still seaching on Youtube for help. DO you have stocks or something with that site???

Each packet you sent does indeed have "upper" and "lower" on them.
We can clearly see this from the screenshot you provided.
I was sent the packets in the middle of the photo which have both on each packet.
They do NOT mention which is which inside each packet. That information would have been in the instructions that normally comes in the container. Both were missing when you shipped the packets.

Yes, I am too much into accuracy. I guess that's why I got A's in school and asked teachers questions when I didn't know the answer. Instead of being ridiculed for ignorance, they taught me. I must relearn this education thing from your perspective and insult people when they sincerely ask for clarification.

Wow, Im so proud of you! All A's, amazing!
Do you want some candy now???
I guess getting all A's didnt help you turning into a hypocrite.
You say youre too much into accuracy, so why didnt you FULLY read the information and FAQS on the site that you showed us ??? How could someone as smart as yourself have not seen that
Did your teachers tell you to check Youtube for all your questions in life? |

I see your reading comprehension isn't so good. I stated I got A's in school and asked teachers questions. I didn't say I got all A's. In fact, I had my share of failed semesters due to the fact I not only didn't study but I didn't ask questions. That was the focus of mentioning it, cause remember I asked you some simple questions you felt were not worth answering? Perhaps it interrupted your tea time or something.
| Quote: |

I didn't know someone like you would be replying to me. In the past when I asked simple yes/no questions, people would just PM me with the yes/no answer. It didn't get into a debate on how I should find the answer.
This conversation has gone way too long. It didn't need to turn into an argument of me justifying why I asked and why you feel you need to make my actions ridiculous so you can sell the remaining supply of whitestrips.
I'll say it again, these strips seem like they will work and are probably worth the money compared to going to the dentist. If you buy them from this seller, don't worry about paying in advance. They will send you the packets. I just recommend you find out how to use them from someone else, cause the seller apparently won't lend a hand as we can see.
Have a good day folks. |
