Please specify whether this is a movie/book list since there are some books that were turned into movies and vice versa.

I'll get my Top 10 list underway later

Guess I should clear that up. You can post either a Top 10 Movie List or a Top 10 Book List - just make sure you specify whether it's a movie list or a book list

Just looking for some ideas for timekilling

Films in no order of preferance and off the top of my head (likely to change daily)

The Last Life in the Universe.
2046
Dolls (Beat Takeshi)
Vagabond (a samurai movie, not the Agnes Varda film)
Easy Rider
Ringu 2
Annie Hall
Talk to Her
Damage
The Lover

To be honest, the list would be different tomorow though as I love so many great films and my collection is somewhat large and I only keep those that I class as 5 gold stars on a 1 - 5 rating with five gold being par exellance...

Top-10 songs I've first heard while in Korea:

"Everybody" by Stabilo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozdZPC2pAWw

"Best I Ever Had" by State of Shock
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN9SjeM5Uxc

"Umbrella" by Lillasyster
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PeEaNzg4os

"Only You" by Portishead
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQRBgv4ri_Y

"Lonely No More" by Rob Thomas
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7jBa_rvtQo

"My Immortal" by Evanescence
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idd_92ajjwY&feature=channel

"Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GtN5fKuUiM

"Welcome to Wherever You Are" by Bon Jovi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNYQwZDcf1E

"If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEUE-wMQBv8

"Promiscuous" by Nelly Furtado
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyKEcV-66kM&feature=channel

All of the above music is fused in my experience and memory with my time in Korea. For instance, I'd just gotten Bon Jovi's then-new album on CD at a store in Jinju and the next day first listened to that "Welcome" song at a beach in Pohang on a beautiful summer saturday afternoon in 2006 while waiting for the fireworks festival to get going. Great lyrics, great day. Forever linked.

We have very similar tastes, in movies and books! I guess I should check out the ones on your list I haven't read/seen.
