Hey everyone, I want to spread the word about a quality dive operation that I just got back from a trip with: Aquatic Frontier, based out of Songtan/Osan Airforce Base.
Allen and his wife are very cool people, fun to be around and good at keeping everyone informed of the day's plans. Their trip was well-organized, the gear was in perfect condition and he brought some extra sizes for me to try on to make sure I had a good time. There was no stress about getting in the water, which was a nice change from other trips I've been on. The food and accommodation were great and you can bring a non-diving friend for a small cost. The atmosphere was kind of family-ish, as opposed to a serious party thing, which I appreciate. And, he even went out of his way to drop me off in my city, as we were passing by.
Anyway, I would heartily recommend Allen to you if you want to do some fun diving or get your cert. I've also dove with a Seoul-based expat company that will remain anonymous and well, I can't so much recommend them. The difference between the two was night and day in terms of professionalism, so check out Aquatic Frontier

How much was it? Where did you have to go to meet them? Do they take beginners?
Cheers |

You can take your open water class through them, if you've never dove before. It's one weekend at the pool and then one weekend at the ocean (4 dives). I think it's around 600 000 Won or so, including everything.
I did fun diving (I'm already certified), so I just went out with two guys who are doing their divemaster training through Aquatic Frontier. It was 2 beach dives and 2 boat dives for 350 000. This included all meals and transportation. My non-diving friend came along for 50 000 and did some snorkeling and came for the boat ride and stuff.
We met at 5am, outside the Osan Air Force base in Songtan (South on Line 1, towards Cheonan). The pool training is on the base.
Google them and check out the website for more info. |

Thanks. Sounds like fun. Maybe this summer I'll use this to overcome my fear of the ocean. |
