I was watching "seconds from disaster" or whatever the name is on Youtube and came across the sampoong episode.

I'm a newbie to Korea, so how likely is it for something like that to repeat itself? |

Yes. Conditions here are quite nice. Nobody has died in a couple of hours. |

Before moving into your apartment just ask if the roof is held up by metal chopsticks or wood.
Walk by any construction zone/area/paper-thin blanket, and count the number of soju bottles laying about.
Look on the bright side, it makes life more exciting here. Especially on windy days! |

| Instead of whole buildings collapsing, you hear about a floor or a part of a building collapsing. So yeah, its an improvement. Honestly, I don't think you should be worried about much. Sure Korean buildings are slightly precarious, but nobody has died in recent years from what I know. |
