Or can you just wait at the bus stop, pay your 8K and jump on?
Cheers.. |

No need to book. Busses are running all the time. Only platform 5B charges 9,000 won. The other airport limo busses are 14,000 won. |

The following will happen....
You will pick up your luggage, and walk out past the customs dudes. They only grab people they randomly think are worth checking -- almost never foreigners.
Then you will walk out into a hall area. As you walk toward the outside door, you will likely be hounded by a taxi driver or two. If your plans are to take the bus, just say, "bus... bus" and they will probably leave you alone (or might even help you to the bus out the door). Make sure they don't try to stick you in some expensive mini-van, though.
As you exit the door, you will immediately see several signs with a number and a letter, with large greyhound-style buses pulling up to them. These signs list where to go. It's easier, however, if you find one of the ticketing windows just outside the front door, and to your right. Tell the ticket-seller where you are going, and they will take your money and give you a ticket -- and probably circle what bus number you need to go to. Just go to that bus sign and wait (usually, buses come about ever 20 mins or so).
The bus driver will arrive and take your ticket. You can also pay him directly if you didn't get a ticket -- and these days, you can even use a T-money card. In addition, he will help you put your luggage underneath, and give you a claim ticket for that.
Go grab a seat and wait for your ride to your destination. Usually takes 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours, depending on where you are going. Be sure to listen to the directions and stops. There are also small route maps on the ceilings somewhere. If you are really stressed and don't understand, you can tell the bus driver where you are going, and he will probably remember where to help you get off.
When you do get out, you will exit at some curb somewhere. I'd imagine you would flag down a taxi from there to get to your hagwon, hotel, or wherever you are supposed to go.
Good luck.
I captured this on video a few weeks ago, and will make a short/dirty little video about it all for youtube. |

Airport busses to Incheon leave from 3 points around Seoul Station:
* In front of the main exit, out on the traffic island, near the taxi rank
* Under the vehicular flyover in front of old Seoul Station
* Around the back of Seoul Station |

Shouldnt your school / recruiter be there with money for Mc'D's (even if you detest the arches) a buss / train pass and a happy speech about how much fun Korea is?
Most recruiters have to at least kick you on your way to the city of destination from ICN as part of their payment. Even if thats not so, its easy to get to where you need to be.
Two tips:
If you convert at the airport do so before you leave the customs glass. Its not much but its a better rate inside those magic doors.
When you get to the right bus do two things. A) Move out to the bus landing just before arrival, the luggage compartments fill up fast at Inchon. B) Write down the number of your bus. They dont make many stops, but when they do theres a plethora of busses with them. You dont want to get on the wrong bus going to nowhere from nowhere.
Sounds silly, but remember the length of flight + free drinks (on a decent carrier) + lack of shower = disorientation.
Good luck, even though its not needed. |

You can even use T-money if you have enough on the card or don't want to carry too much change. |
