Hey everyone,
I've been offered a job at a Wonderland in Busan and was wondering if there was anyone here who has actually worked at that chain that could tell me about their experience at the school. I know that Wonderland has a horrible reputation, but I have also read that some people had a good experience there. I emailed a current teacher at the school and am waiting for him to respond, but would like to hear the opinion of someone who doesn't currently work there. I am very skeptical about the school, due to the chain's bad reputation, but I want to know more before I completely write it off. |

Why would you take a job at a place you already know has a terrible reputation? The local franchisee made a consious decision to affiliate with that name. That should tell you all you need to know about the local employer. |

I know that Wonderland has a bad reputation but like any chain, each location is different. I have read about people having good experiences working for Wonderland as well. I just want to hear from someone who has worked at the Wonderland in Busan so I know from someone who has experienced it first hand whether or not the school is bad. |

Then take the job. Just don't be surprised when you get cheated. |

I interviewed for this position as well. I spoke with a teacher there and they have VERY long days and the Korean staff is abusive (according to the teacher I spoke with). A friend of mine in Busan has a good friend that works there and confirmed the same information.
They offer a bit higher of a salary but when you do the math for the hours you'll be working it's really more like 2.0. The advice I received from the teacher working there was to stay away so I did.

If he doesn't take the job, maybe he should tell the school/recruiter why. Tell them that the teaching community is on to them and the word is out on that school. |

Thank you for responding to this. It was really difficult to find any information about the Busan position. Now that you've told me that the Busan campus lives up to the reputation of every other wonderland, I certainly won't be working there. |
