I was driving through town today, trying to help a friend find a bike. We were walking to my car, when we got in, and started to go out of park, two JWs (Jehovah's Witnesses) jumped out of their car, and came up to us, and started talking about the Watch Tower with us. Usual small talk, nice people and all, but JWs really give me an itch I want to scratch with liberal applications of a hammer. WHY ..... WHY ...... WHY ..... ?

apparently you're safe from mormons here. I've read that when mormons travel to a country where the language is not english they're not supposed to speak english even to each other for the duration of their tour so as to become fluent as quickly as possible.
I saw two mormons once they just nodded and smiled and kept on trucking, so I might believe it. |

No No, these Koreans were speaking English rather efficiently. But, it is rather annoying for someone to do that. Eh, anyhow.

I remember in the subways in Seoul (I think it was) we had some Korean Christians of one variety or another come up to people and give us little advertisements for their church. These Koreans (they were teenagers) then went to one end of the subway car and sang songs. I figure that if most religious prosthelatyzing (sp?) was like that, it wouldn't be nearly as annoying! |

All of these religious nuts are annoying. It's just a matter of degree. |

i love the look on k-people's faces when I tell them I don't believe in Jesus and that I reject Christianity. Their faces go from happy to astonished in 0.24 seconds. |

Whatever happened to "No, thanks. I'm not interested. Enjoy the rest of your day."? |

The Mormons actually aren't that bad. I'm not always in the mood to deal with their "rant" or <Watch Tower> - on those days, I just smile and pretend to receive a phone call just as we are passing. Works like a charm every time.
Unlike many foreigners you meet on the street who walk by and pretend
that you are nonexistent, at least the Mormons ALWAYS offer a smile
or friendly hello. |

Well, considering only about 30% of the people here are Christian, I don't know why many of them would be astonished. |

I've found the JWs to be the most English fluent of the proselytizing Christians here. |
