I've heard that a lot of teachers leave after a few months-how true is this? |

It is very true my friend, I have seen it and I have done it myself.
The reality of Korea (and even Asia) is that job security over here doesnt exist in the same way it does back home and many find themselves with no other viable alternative. You are a foreigner and thus you are there to be exploited... |

Yes and no. Zippy found a new (better) job, gave notice and quit the first one at six months, then went to Japan for a new visa. It meant giving up six months towards his severance pay. But he stuck it out six months so he didn't have to pay back the airfare, buy his own ticket and come home empty handed. There's not much of a backup plan back here. |
