From the Herald

Quote:
Domino's Pizza Korea launched a website in English yesterday to cater to the foreign community here, the company said yesterday.
It said the industry's first "foreigner-friendly" English web site (www.dominos.co.kr/eng) will allow more than the 1 million non-Korean-speaking residents here to order Domino's pizza online with convenience and at a lower price.
The opening comes with various discount events, including a 20 percent discount for new online members.

Two funny things I stumbled across on their site:

1. At the bottom of the page it says "Pay With Credit Card Only".
Well, they will accept cash. This is their way of stating the cards
that they accept. Mine isn't one of them!

2. One of their membership conditions:

(3) Dominos reserves the right to suspend or reject membership to those below:
- Name used to register was false
- ID chosen may disturb or disgust others
- Incorrect identification was used to register
- False information was used to fill out the membership application form
- The purpose of registration was to break related laws or to undermine public morals

Thanks! A 10% discount is very cool. I use my LG card for that discount when I order over the phone.

Very good post! Smile

Domino's in Korea tastes worse than the 5,000 KRW pizza shops.

Papa John's is the best in quality and taste. Their operators speak English, or will quickly find an operator who does.

(Jaw drop)

This has not been my experience. 5,000 KRW pizza shops use super fatty cheese, the worst ingredients.

Ok, now we're talking! Papa John's is not within my living range, though. By the way, Domino's operators do the same.

I've received a few script errors using the Dominos site using FireFox.

That's funny how the writer of the article assumes ALL foreigners speak NO Korean. I've always used the Korean website for Domino's without any problems. Most of it is English words transliterated into Korean, anyway.

I've never tried ordering a pizza using English, except once, and they had trouble understanding, so I ended up just ordering in Korean.

Use the SMS method to verify your account.

The email didn't work for me (maybe because I used Hotmail).

I tell you what...just about all the foreign food places in korea...the food taste awful...it does not taste like it does back in the states, Canada, or even Japan. Especially Dominos.....I don't know what is done to it to make it taste different...but it does.
Papa Johns...IMO...taste great compared to Dominos...even Pizza Hut pizza taste different.

Only if you order online on Papajohns you get 20% discount. Kinda discriminatory you think? Only Koreans can register and order online. Maybe I'll write to the company.
