Quick...
Did any of you hear officially which campus the Chung-Ang University position is for?
This is about the ad for 15 instructors they put up.
I know some of you were interviewed and responded to other posts about that.
Anybody hear back from them about the job and which campus it is for? Seoul? Anseong?
I heard back via email today, and I have to give an answer soon, but they didn't say anything about which campus the job is for.

Congrats on getting the offer! My buddy whose been in Korea said there are good people at Chung-Ang, so you should be treated right.
I heard back, too, and they offered me a job (I'm in Korea) but I declined it because I got a better job. I wasn't told a campus either, I guess they don't give you any details until you sign. :?
I guess you could always email and ask which campus they would put you on? Frankly, if they are hiring people from the States w/o face-to-face interviews, I think you can safely ask some questions without fearing losing the offer. |

Thanks. I did ask. I asked which campus and what is typical housing like.
I signed a contract with SMOE, and my wife (Korean) is pushing that one because housing is included, but I'd prefer Chung-Ang.
Location is important, though.
How far is Anseong from Seoul by bus or train?
One goal I'm sticking with in going back to Korea is to do some quality work in my free time with NK-related NGOs in Seoul, and it would be much better if I didn't have to commute to do that.
My Visa for SMOE hasn't been finalized yet, so I still have the choice, but I'm mixed at the moment... |
