No matter what he says....I am not eating fido!
The article does not mention thisbut I willStamina? Koreans say that eating dog is good for sex?!?! Get a life! If that were truethe whole world would be eating dog! I take issue with the way Koreans torture the dogs before killing themthey claim torturing/scaring them, makes the meat tastier. I have seen this is person and I have actually been in fights with these idiots who were abusing the dogs.
Charm wants to give koreans high-end image and sophistication. Koreans will never ever be seen that way Charm Lee no matter how hard you try! Koreans really need to rid themselves of the reek smell of garlic and kim chee their bodies and breath give off for one thing.

This was my favorite. Laughing

French eat horse meat. But few people criticize it. Its because people think the French culture is a high-end culture. I know Koreans dont eat dogs they raise because the dogs used for cooking are raised in dog farms.

What garbage. Koreans will eat any old dog that the skanky restaurant owner manages to catch or buy on the cheap. I know for a fact Lee Cham owns a number of pet Jindo dogs, yet he is advocating dog eating. What, precisely, is the difference between a pet Jindo and a poor Jindo raised on a dog farm (or unfortunate enough to be caught by a cheap-ass dog meat restauranter?) What a hypocrite.

What constitutes food is defined by culture. I have no problem eating anything if it's killed in a 'humane' manner. I believe that to cause unnecessary suffering is wrong... but there's nothing inherently wrong in killing an animal you're going to eat.

I will shoot deer (black or whitetail), elk and moose without a qualm because I'm going to eat them. To torture an animal is wrong; as is to kill an animal for the express purpose of hanging its head on ones wall.

Let the arguments begin...

i think it's unreasonable to criticise people for eating one animal rather than an other

i mean does a cow, lamb or pig deserve to be eaten, and does a dog deserve not to be eaten somehow?

is the dog or cat sacred maybe, that it should be exempt from consumption

come on people, we know you don't like to eat these animals, but what is your reason? or is it just 'the way it is' and therefore unreaonable

The key word here is 'torture'. There are Korean who torture dogs before they die. Deliberately torturing cows, pigs etc. is also despicable.

And, in the case of South Korea, by law. Dog and cat are defined in law as domestic pets, not foodstuffs.

Which brings us right back to the intentional cruelty inflicted on dogs "to increase the stamina" of the diner.
