My girlfriend and I have 2 old laptops that we are looking to get rid of. She contacted a website called used.com and they offered her 150,000 for each. Is that a fair price?

The laptops are both around 4 years old. One is a Toshiba Satellite A60 which has overheating issues and a broken DVD drive. The other is a Samsung Sens X05 which runs really slowly and also has a broken DVD drive. They're gonna come round and check them out next week to see if they're not completely broken.

What do you think?

It's all relative. I think that is a heck of a deal if they come to your house and pay your 300,000 won in total for two used and broken laptops. I doubt that you could get that much in the forums. But you could always try. If you fixed the laptops your self you could sell them at a much higher value of course, but that would take more of your time in money. So it depends on you, and your budget. But I don't think you would be 'had' if you sold it to them.

But to answer your question in full you would have to give an entire spec list including: processor speed, amount of ram and speed of ram, hard drive, graphics card (if there is one), etc.

It's kind of like having an old broken ford. Sure you could take it apart and sell it part by part, but if you don't know what your doing, sometimes it's best to just sell it to the professionals.

I would take that deal. 4 year old laptops aren't worth much more. Especially if they're faulty.

As already said, if they were very high-spec 4 years ago, they might be worth more. We don't know until we see a spec list.

They will come to your home and pick them up? Good deal.
