|
|
Noticed that Wooribank had a new option for foreign remittance through the online banking account (English site). I was wondering when they'd get around to that. Not sure what "5% preferential" means? Additional fee? Discount? It's a bit confusing, i still don't have a clear answer on if i can transfer money from Woori to say...Wachovia.

I think it means the the exchange rate you get will be a preferred rate which they calculate to be 5% cheaper than other services. |

That 5% is 5% off of the counter exchange rate. I got it when I transfered last week online. It's nice that they give us a slightly lower transfer rate than counter people. |

So we don't have to provide proof of income? I read something on the site about being able to wire $50000 before giving the bank pay statements - did I read that right? Their English is a little, um... strange. |

What? Your univ. doesn't pay you guys $50,000 per month?
Seriously... no privates will earn yourself that much. You need to work at an all-male drinkee bar catering to single moviestars and bored ajumma.
Then you can earn the big bucks! |

THAT, I am unsure of. the 5% is for online transfers, and, when the teller is feeling kind, counter transfers. I flirt with them at the counter and they always have given me the 5% discount, online it is automatically applied. |
