I'm an animal lover and I'd love to have a dog in Korea when I make my journey.

Is there any advice you have to give me? If I'm staying in a compound, I assume the rules about owning a pet would be different? Does Korea have dog breeders? (German Shepherd, Great Dane) or are these species limited to North America?

Are you planning on taking the dog with you when you go back home? I mean, knowing how dogs are treated in Korea, I couldn't imagine adopting one then leaving it behind where it might end up in someone's soup. Go to youtube and type in 'Moran Market'. I am assuming you plan on keeping the dog forever right?

Thanks!

The selection looks small... Any others?

I would love to keep the dog forever. I'm quite picky on what kind of dog I have. So, if I were to get one, I would want to keep it.

German Shepherds? Pups?

You saw this page full of links, right OP?

Good point, Travelingfool. Here are more questions to consider.

Thanks to both of you.

A lot of these sites are all in Korean... Is there a way to translate?

I'd ask a co-worker for help, or post a link to the adoption thread that interests you on one of the ARK message boards. A bilingual volunteer would probably help.
