The first two weeks of grades 4 and 5 were great. Kids came in everyday for 4 hours. About 18 kids per class. Was able to implement the curriculum I designed.
The third week of 6 graders is okay, but they come in when they feel like it. Today, this is the second to the last day, eight new students decided to show up. I had a curriculum planned for this class, but I have been unable to implement it, so I just create and improvise as I go along.
The co-teacher is only making 15,000 won per-day. I feel sorry for her. Me? Nothing, but I dont care anyway.
How is it going with your summer camp? |

Drastically reduced numbers of students gave me a chance to do some one-on-one coaching. A few of those struggled during the semester are happier with the pace. Smarter ones are progressing at leaps and bounds. Hopefully they can help with the instructions next semester. |

Our school decided to cram the first 4 summer camps into 2 day camp periods. They came for the whole day, but there was no chance for review. We just blitzed from one thing to the next. Now we have a week off to prepare for a more realistic summer schedule, mon-thu. |
