I'm looking for the one that will be an easy install and set up because I am still learning how to be a techie.
I went here:
http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/feature.asp?t=how_to&c=2974
...but I didn't have a G6 and passcard, so I am going to Yongsan this week and search for one. |

On the site you linked, 'ROMS' is the important word.
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=nds&aq=f&aqi=&fp=7MCNwvs4NB0
Check a couple of links above to help some more.
I use emulators like mame and neogeo and snes specific ones as well on my psp. Not sure if the nds works the same way or not, but likely it does.
Check torrent sites as well. |

Something I actually know a little about.
I have a DS Lite with an R4 and a 2gb microsd card (though I think up to 4gb is now supported). You'll need to download the latest R4 firmware, which is a simple copy and paste to the memory card. If you already have a different slot-1 device, I'm pretty sure you'll need to make sure the firmware is up to date, and follow the same instructions.
I never installed or ran any programs at any point. Just copied and pasted files.
The NES emulator I'm using is called nesDS- which I really like.
I think this is the working link to the site: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo/nes/2008/03/best-nes-emulator-for-nintendo-ds-nesds.html
Just copy the nesds.ds file onto the memory card, and load it like you would any DS rom. I put my NES roms in a separate folder on the microsd, and haven't had a problem with the 50 or so I've tested.
Let me know if you need any more help. |

wow thanks! I'll PM you if I need anything~
Your instructions sound so easy compared to what was posted on the link I gave. I'm really trying to teach myself as much as I can, but this is all new to me, so unfortunately it takes a long time for me to sort of understand. Plus, in the middle of things I often have to stop, look something up, learn more about that, then go back to my task!
I would love to play come C64 games on my NDS, but I haven't seen any emus for that yet. |

AWESOME! I did it!!
Thanks so much! That was so much f-ing easier than the website I posted.
Also, I just want to say for other posters, when you download the ROMS, they come in 7z format. Download this program to convert them:
http://www.7-zip.org/
I did it and it worked well.
I'll buy you a beer, good sir or madam, if you go to the meet-up on Sat! |
