I've got a young budgie that I purchased along with our cockatiel 3 weeks ago as a companion. According to the lady at the shop, they would get along just fine. I think she was just interested in selling a 2nd bird, because from what I'm reading on the internet, it's not a good idea to mix species with the cockatiel.
I've decided to give away the budgie to anyone interested. I don't have a cage for him (I'm using it for the cockatiel) so you'll need to bring your own cage, or a box to carry him home in (it's a male).
Here is a photo:

He is blue and white, and is about 3 to 5 months old. He still has some growth coming, I think. If he has a bit of red on his white head, it's because he loves to rub up against a red hot pepper calcium toy that colors things.

Sadly, it looks like my wife (who is pregnant) has no patience for these birds. She wants me to get rid of them. I don't have any choice in the matter.
Anyone interested? |
