| i have this huge king-sized mattress i want to get rid of. as far as i'm aware you have to let the locals know about fridges and washing machines..is it the same for mattresses or can i just leave it outside? |

You would probably have to let someone know because of its size.
Why don't you sell it or donate it to a charity?
or: take it outside in the middle of the night and run away. |

| It's the same as any item of furniture. Put it in a conspicuos place and somebody will take a shine to it. Look around and see if there is a central point where people leave there stuff. We have done it with lounges and beds and there have been know problems. |
