i like korea and all but, i feel i need to vent my hatred for those massive elven korean shoes (the ones twice the size of the wearer's foot with a ridiculous curl) and the absurd traffic system at the intersections that defies all logic and has had me spend half my contract time detained at their crossings.
pheeww. confession is theropeutic.

Last night I was on a date with a girl... we come up to a crosswalk... no car in sight for miles, so I start to walk. I hear, "RYAN NO!!!!" and she's panicking...

For a country that's in such a hurry (country motto: BALI BALI), they sure do like to stand at crosswalks when the light is red.

Yeah I got a lot of stares when I'd cross the skinny oneway street in Jangjeon dong awhile back. The same people would start walking across the road as soon as the light turned green without checking the traffic! Yeah blindly follow rules. Gees!

Jaywalking is a fineable offense. She doesn't want you to get a ticket.
As for the traffic system, I heard it was designed by the Brits after the War hence all the rotaries. Makes sense when you consider how f'ed up London is.

Why are Korean people in denial about the fact that they get winter? (Especially when they are so proud of having four seasons)

Why does the country panic when snow falls? Why do girls insist on wearing those evil pointy stilettos when there's five cm of snow?

They panic cause I haven't seen a single snow plow this winter... and Korean drivers on snowy roads? Hell, I'm panicking too...
