I just received an email last night from the sales manager of Neolux, the company that produces the Nuutbook eBook Reader, and she told me they are in stock and taking orders. They don't have an English ordering system on their website, but you can email her directly at minjikang[at]neoluxiim[dot]com. I have asked if I can just go into the office because I don't want to wait for the shipping (I'm pretty excited). She has yet to get back to me, but I went there two weeks ago to try them out so I don't see any problem with me going there to pick one up. They are located in Seongnam, and the website is www.nuutbook.com.

I've written a pretty lengthy preview here http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=161966&highlight=. Just scroll about half down the page.

Personally, I think the things Amazon has done with the Kindle is evil, so for me it's a no-brainer.

Auslegung wrote one pretty comprehensive review guys; I would say the Nuutbook is by far the better option given that it is not so restrictive. I am going to buy one for sure.

I was just emailed and told I can come into their office to purchase the Nuutbook. They're open 10-6, but have meetings Monday and Tuesday morning. They are available from 10am-11am on Tuesday morning, so I'll probably go then. I feel like almost no one cares about this, haha, but I'm posting anyway. I may do a video review of it when I get it, if people are interested.

I am interested, but I already have enough real books to keep me busy for a pretty long time. What I'm thinking is this: read everything I already have and then think about buying the Nuutbook. By that time, hopefully, the price will have gone down a bit.

Auslegang, thanks for that awesome review!
The nuut sounds like a top option for me at this point.

Not to sound like a dumbass...
But one question,
Is there a reader and Media player COMBO? I don't want one of those monsters that you see on the subway sometimes, just something I can watch a movie on.

I guess what I am saying is, I want an E-book reader, with an added media player. Do these exist?

The problem is the screen. The big draw of the ebooks is the E-ink screens, which are at present only really available in black and white (there is a colour japanese one but it is insanely expensive and has a 10 second or so refresh time).

You really have to decide are you going to be using it only for reading (then get an ereader) or do you want multimedia options, then go for something like a itouch, pmp or netbook
