Anyone here hoop in Daegu? I live in neighboring Gyeongsan and want to play some on the weekends. In the winter I would like to play inside and I will pay ( a little) to play.

I have no idea, I just want a descent pickup game or two. A league would be a big plus.

I have been playing a few pickup games in Siji-dong. There's a nice court at Shinmae High School and usually a few Korean students playing there. There's also Siji Square where there are always tons of people playing. I'd be interested in playing.

I think I have seen the square. Is it near E-mart in between all the buildings?

Yeah..it's across from the E-Mart. It's a decent place to play but the ground is slightly slanted and there are no lines.

Yea, I've seen the square. No lines=No big deal to me. The slanted ground=pretty big deal. I have watched some of those guys play and I am not sure about them. I have played here only 3-4 times and each time I have had the fear of getting injured. You know, rolling an ankle or blowing out a knee? I am looking for some actually competent players and games. If I just haven't seen this while here in Korea somone please tell me where it exsists. Thanks

I've been playing pickup all across town.

On the weekends, there are tons of guys playing at a park by SamDuk Police Station.

Every other night I've been going down to the Shinchon at DaeBongGyo (by Debec Plaza) and there are some guys that are pretty decent there.

Also I've played over by Suseong Lake...and they've got lights at night.

The best competition I've found is downtown on weekends...though I've heard that the college kids playing at Gyoungbook Uni are better.

I from out of town but I go to that one park(has a history about money or debt or something) near down-town on sundays in the late afternoon sometime and the competition is relatively good for korea. However, they only play half court. Does anyone know a place where they run full court more consistently? An indoor court would be lovely but this is korea and I'll settle for anything. I would gladly pay to play.

i play once in awhile. there are load of students playing on the weekends at kmu and they have quite nice courts there. even if you go on your own you shouldn't have any trouble finding some guys to play with.

it's keimyung university. there's no subway stop that goes right there, but i usually take the subway to the nexus and hop in a cab. just tell the cabby to go to keimyung university and he should drop you off by the entrance. if you walk in heading straight for awhile you will see all the sports facilities on your left. they have like 4 full courts and a bunch of tennis courts as well.
