Hi.
Is it difficult to buy female clothing to fit 175cm tall, slim-medium build in South Korea? (About size 10 or sometimes 12 Australian.) And how about shoes size 8 US or 38.5 Euro?
I don't want to buy much before I leave, but if buying clothes there is extremely difficult I will need to buy as much as I can here to last me for the year.
Also, are there beauty salons in South Korea that do leg and bikini line / brazillian waxing? Or is it not common there?
Thankyou for your help!

Clothes, particularly shirts can be rough if you're busty. Bring tons of lingerie, cause Korean stuff is cute but tiny. Shoes shouldn't be a problem, but the styles here tend to be ugly and uncomfortable- ultra pointy stilletos.

I know salons in Itaewon do waxing, and I'd imagine there must be places outside of there that do as well, I simply haven't looked. Another tip, if you use tampons, bring lots, I've heard horror stories about the korean ones.

Lingerie is meant to be tiny...

Tiny is good, but a korean bra would cut off circulation to my girls, even if they did come in D.

Thanks Peppermint. I'm not very busty so hopefully shirts will be ok. Thanks for the tampon tip!

Will I find trousers that are long enough? And big enough around the waist?

Most Korean pants are too long... Koreans wanna think they have legs that are long...

I have this problem as a guy and I'm pretty tall for someone with as small of a waist as I have.

Length shouldn't be a problem, Korean pants seem to be cut with freakishly long legs,at least 86cm inseams. Hips cause far more of a problem than the waist. The pants seem to be cut almost the same for men and women here- no hip room at all.

I'd suggest skirts for summer anyway, cause they're much cooler than shorts.

As for you, Rylees, I'm not gonna be the live action version of those bouncing boobies girls, that you boys fell in love with last week, sorry. Wink

I can't wait till I can roam in shorts and all the ladies are roaming in skirts... those'll be the good days. I really am completely a summer person... Just go sit outside, listen to some music, watch people, drink lemonade.

When will it get hot? Crying or Very sad

It'll start warming up again soon, you can put away the winter coat early in March, and April is actuallly one of the more pleasant times weather wise- warm but no humidity.

Humidity is fine by me... I like it in the 90-95 degree range with about 60% humidity... just like home. Very Happy

i don't know, i don't have a problem with korean tampons....i saved a lot of room in my luggage on the way over by not packing them. you can get them in any pharmacy.

if you have hips, you'll have trouble with pants, even if you're slim.

Damn pants in Korea, or as we Brits call them Trousers. I'm a 32 inch waist and the length is so damn long. Had to cut off a few inches.

The largest size you can possibly get in a normal clothes store, is 32, but that is rare. Bras only come in a, or b. basically. If you're an a cup, or a smallish b, you will be in heaven. the bras here are really pretty, though they are totally padded.

The shoes here are incredibly ugly. In fact the clothes mostly are too. If you like 80's style pumps, with rounded toes, bows, and all sorts of nasty accruements, you'll like it.

I'd say being a size 8 shoe, you'd be at the top of the size range here. I'm about a 7/7.5/8 depending, and fit a 250 shoe, which is basically the largest size they make.
