This is from a member at my Yahoo Group

. . . I was explaining that many expats complain they can't get Tim's coffee and she offered to ship it to them, anywhere in the world! For more information and prices, you can contact Barb at [email protected],
mention Pat at Canadiana Connection and she'll be sure to get your coffee to you quickly!

I never found Tim H coffee as good when I made it at home..No reasonable explanation for this really---unless they add some secret ingredient. Maybe the plastic melting in the cup?

Get the cups also. How much is a large now? Think it was 1.28 when I left.
A can of it would be nice though...MM.

When I first went back to Canada, the first thing I bought when I landed in Vancouver was a large double double.

Just go to e-mart/wal-mart/carrefour and buy a can of Maxim ground coffee. There's no real difference.

If you go here, you don't need Tim Hortons or anything else.

http://www.cabrosia.co.kr/

Click on Saeng Du (first Korean word on the left side bar).

Roast a cup of beans in a small frying pan on your stove in 7 to 10 minutes. (turn on your exhaust fan) Grind them with a hand grinder or an electric one. Makes the apartment smell yummy and you always have fresh coffee. I mean FRESH! The green beans will stay good for years, presumably. I recommend the Costa Rican SHB.

Even at 32,000 won a kilo for the Nepal Mt. Everest Supreme you're paying less than for so-so roasted coffee.

I'm going to get a large with 1 cream before I head into work. Yep. The Canadian cliche at play.

In SK I usually had those cold cans at a convenience store.

Self-roasted coffee? Interesting concept.

Tim Horton's coffee is ok, nothing special.

I am not trying to rain on the canuks parade as I understand the need for thigns from home (heck I love my shephards pie and curry) but is Tim Hortons really that good?

I passed through Canada twice before to see Canadian friends (mostly who I had met here in Korea) and it tasted pretty much similar to Nescafe, it didn't even come close to Starbucks.

Maybe because it was cheap but it really was scraping the bottom of the barrel coffee for me. Donuts were good though.

What the hell is the big deal about tim hortons coffee? I lived in Canada for 6 years and everyone was talking about it like it was the best damn coffee in the world. It isnt even 100 % arabica.

Just to stick the knife in further and stir the spoon a but faster, I'd like to add that TH Coffee must be complete and utter rubbish close to Dunking Donuts coffee or something because Starbucks is also shite and if it's not 'even close' to starf*cks then it can't be good....

I was going to post this earlier, but I'm glad someone else chimed in. Tim Hortons is garbage. I'm no coffee snob by any means, but the stuff is just brown water with a hint of coffee flavour. I was forced to drink the stuff all throughout uni as there were about 6 of them on campus and the only competition they had was the even filthier student cafe stuff.
