For instance, my friend who I adore and desperately wish adored me back has the ring tone "girls" by the beastie boys on when I call. If you had the ringtone "girls" by the beastie boys on for a friend, what would that mean? I've carried a torch for this guy for years, and he knows and I know I should just get over it, but, well, he persists in being the greatest guy in the universe so I'm having a hard time letting go. |

If he aint putting out when you've tried - you gotta get over it.
If you haven't tried - hurry up and on with it!! |

I agree with pig head soup, above. We fellas are usually not calculating enough to choose a ring tone with meaning.
We are men. We pee 'cos we need to. Eat 'cos we want to. Scratch our dangly bits whenever whereever we want to 'cos we want to. Put whatever song on our phone 'cos we want to.
You're over-estimating the thinking power of our kind. |

I think the ring tone means he loves you.
Hell, I don't think I'd set up a special ring tone even for a girl I was in love with. It must be some kind of up till now undiscovered super-love, which will one day replace normal love as we know it.
I fear that day. |

Actually, that ringtone now I've thought about it means he thinks you're cool like one of the guys, you know that cool kind of opposite s*x friend some of us find.
If it meant anything more romantic you'd have alreay been fooling around before he'd then choose a 'special' ring tone. No way he'd choose one beforehand.
Sorry. |

If I hear any ringtone my opinion of a person goes down because it's basically an attention *beep* tactic. |

I have to agree with Fox. It's clearly superlove. He just doesn't realize it. Yes, that must be it! Now it's safe for me to carve his name into my arm with a fork and hold his cat hostage until he admits he is in superlove with me.
Oh, what do I tell his current girlfriend? Other than she is a skanky ho and isn't good enough for his love.
Please don't be too harsh, I am speaking from a place of pain. |

What does a ringtone say about your opinion of a person?
Nothing. It has no meaning and says nothing about a person, other than maybe an interest in a song... |

I disagree, for example a quiet ringdown, or vibrate, says a person likes to continue what he is doing, and not bother people.
Loud ringtones are for popped collars people. Especially bad r&b tones. Just gross. |

Guy in question just really likes people. he is super nice and will get into a half an hour conversation with pretty much anyone about anything for any reason. |

I don't give a F what my ringtone is. It's been playing some spanish salsa music for months and I just don't care.

I think any person with a ringtone disregards personal space. Keep it on vibrate. |
