Well, I just got done with my first day of work at my hagwon in Ilsan. Nothing like 8 classes in a day to put a smile on your face. I have a feeling I will need to get sufficiently wasted on Friday and Saturday. What bars should I hit up in Ilsan?I live right near La Festa. |

May I recommend:
Rosenbrau (can't miss the huge sign) near Homeplus, in La Festa.
The opposite end of La Festa stay on the ground floor. This side has many 'hostess bars', enter if you want to pay 100,000K for a drink and to pat some adjumma on her bottom |

Start the night off down on meat street having some BBQ with your friends.
Hit up Frog and Toad, on the second floor on meat street. You can spot it from the street, it has a black and red balcony and a pretty noticeable sign. It's close to the pirate bar.
Next, head over to the foreigner haunt Bar Boom, the hip hop joint that promises copious amounts of drunken K-chickas. It's also on meat street, down toward Baskin Robin's, but on the opposite building, on the 3rd floor.
If you have friends and want to hear some Philippinos belting out some decent live tunes, do make your way to Rosenbrau.
Finish the night off with a nice McDonald's breakfast. Done and done. |

Try the 236. It's off of La Festa. If you go down "meat alley" and see a big dalkgalbi restaurant on the corner, go towards it and look for a large parking lot. By the large parking lot you will see a crab restaurant. Go toward the crab restaurant, keep walking past Miller Time, and 236 will be on your right close to the end of the restaurants. Good (American-style) BBQ, TexMex, and margaritas. |

Not strong at all. It's the same as beer, but you take shots. You should be able to pound down 3 or 4 bottles. A good idea would be to down a couple of bottles at home on a semi-empty stomach before you go out, so that you can save some money on booze. |
