Is it possible to send money home through online banking? Do any/all banks have this type of service? If so, how can i apply for this? My nearest bank (nonghyup) is pretty far from me and i'd find it inconvenient just to take a bus or long walk just to go and fill out some forms every time i want to send money to my home bank account. If other banks can do this service (Busan bank, KEB, etc.), i'd gladly switch banks. |

KEB will let you send money home. I was told that a foreigner may only send money home from one bank (something about registration w/ government)
I was under the impression that Nonghyup also let people use Internet banking... |

Woori bank has a very useful English page. There is a lot of security (good to have here) which may require the help of a Korean to set up, though. |

KEB has a remittance account that you can set up - I have it and I transfer everything online. Very convenient. |
