Is it possible to send money home through online banking? Do any/all banks have this type of service? If so, how can i apply for this? My nearest bank (nonghyup) is pretty far from me and i'd find it inconvenient just to take a bus or long walk just to go and fill out some forms every time i want to send money to my home bank account. If other banks can do this service (Busan bank, KEB, etc.), i'd gladly switch banks.

KEB will let you send money home. I was told that a foreigner may only send money home from one bank (something about registration w/ government)

I was under the impression that Nonghyup also let people use Internet banking...

Woori bank has a very useful English page. There is a lot of security (good to have here) which may require the help of a Korean to set up, though.

KEB has a remittance account that you can set up - I have it and I transfer everything online. Very convenient.
